Visakhapatnam: A man slit throat his girlfriend’s throat suspecting her fidelity at Rangireeju Street under One Town police limits here on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as B Bhavani (19), a resident of Rangireeju Veedhi, and a drop- out of nursing course. The accused is 23-year B Satish, a resident of Pandavari Street and unemployed. The police said Satish and Bhavani were in love and their parents accepted their relationship and decided to get them married.

But a few months ago, Satish met with an accident and in coma for many days. Bhavani, who was pursuing her nursing course in Guntur, dropped out and came to city to serve him. Seeing his plight, Satish parents advised Bhavani to look for another groom of her choice as their son was not in a position to work and has become sick. Bhavani took their advice and decided to resume her nursing course.

As she stopped seeing him, Satish got irritated and suspected her fidelity. There were frequent fights in between them. On Saturday, Satish, who was alone at home, called Bhavani to see him as he was not feeling fell. As she entered the house, he hit her with a dumb-bell and slit her throat with a piece of glass.

She ran out of the house and called for help. The neighbours taken her to KGH where doctors declared her brought dead.
The locals thrashed Satish and handed him over to police. He, too, was admitted to KGH where he has been lying unconscious.
