Handri-Neeva water for Kuppam by Sept: CM
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated his government’s commitment to bring Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanti (HNSS) water to Kuppam by September. Addressing a public meeting in Gudupalle village in Kuppam constituency, the Chief Minister said the 109 km Kuppam branch canal works of HNSS were in full swing.
Kuppam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated his government’s commitment to bring Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanti (HNSS) water to Kuppam by September. Addressing a public meeting in Gudupalle village in Kuppam constituency, the Chief Minister said the 109 km Kuppam branch canal works of HNSS were in full swing.
Through HNSS, water will be provided to all tanks. This coupled with farm ponds will strengthen water resources in the area. We saved Krishna delta by giving Godavari water through Pattiseema. We are committed to save every drop of water,” he asserted.
Citing that drip irrigation system is now being extensively used throughout the country, Naidu claimed that he was the one who introduced the concept in Kuppamand later gave a report to Vajpayee government.
