Tirupati: High Court (HC) of Hyderabad judge Justice T Rajani gave a call to junior lawyers to practice legal profession with ethics. The HC judge participated as chief guest for one-day state-level training programme conducted by All India Lawyers Association (AILU) for junior lawyers and law students at Ambedkar Law College here on Saturday.

Addressing the participants, Justice Rajani stated that law profession should be taken up with a motto of serving the society and advocates should work for the protection of the society in the court halls. “Lawyers practicing legal profession with ethical values will reach greater heights,” the judge added. She advised lawyers to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments in legal profession.

AILU general secretary N Srinivas Rao said that the association is working for upgrading professional skills of legal fraternity. In this direction, the AILU has been conducting the training classes for lawyers every year, he stated. Rao demanded that the state government should provide a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month to junior lawyers up to five years and free laptops with legal software.

AILU state honorary president Ramanjaneyulu mentioned that the association had started in 1982 in India and AP unit was set up in 1986. Ambedkar Global Law Institute director Tippa Reddy said law profession is very competitive and sincere advocates have lots of opportunities.

During the conclusion of training programme, Justice Rajani has released the legal handbook written by lawyer Bapuji. Tirupati Bar Association president Chenna Kesava Reddy, vice-president V Srinivasulu and AILU leaders’ P Murali, Hemachandra Reddy and others were present.
