Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday directed the Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTIDC) Superintendent Engineer Sastry to speed up construction of houses for the beneficiaries sanctioned under various government schemes.

Kurnool: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday directed the Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTIDC) Superintendent Engineer Sastry to speed up construction of houses for the beneficiaries sanctioned under various government schemes.

In a review meeting held on the development of Nandyal with the district officials at Roads and Buildings (R&B) guest house on Sunday, Naidu directed the Superintendent Engineer Hari Babu of Rural Water Scheme to ensure tap connection to every house at rural and urban areas besides supplying drinking water of 20 litres with nominal cost of Rs 2.

The Chief Minister said it is the responsibility of the officials of Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj and Municipal department to get the sanctioned works completed. Naidu also directed Municipal Corporation Director Kanna Babu to initiate steps for cleaning garbage piled up in the city.

He said Nandyal would be beautified and developed on the lines of Visakhapatnam. He also ordered the concerned officials to ensure steps for facilitating fiber grid at every village in the constituency.

AP Transco Superintendent Engineer Bhargava Ramudu was told to replace the electric poles wherever necessary during the road widening works. Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, Information and Technology Minister Kalva Srinivasulu, Minister for Agriculture Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, District Collector S Sathya Narayana, and Joint Collector Prasanna Venkatesh participated in the meeting
