Mummidivaram civic official caught accepting bribe
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) personnel caught Mummidivaram (East Godavari) municipal manager B Srilakshmi while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 for doing an official favour on Friday.
Vijayawada: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) personnel caught Mummidivaram (East Godavari) municipal manager B Srilakshmi while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 for doing an official favour on Friday.
According to ACB director general RP Thakur, the ACB laid a trap based on a complaint by photographer of the same municipality M V N Venkata Ramana.
He complained that the official had demanded Rs 3,000 bribe to process a file for issuance of ‘No Dues Certificate’ in respect of a house property. ACB officials who recovered a cover containing the bribe money from the desk of Srilakshmi confirmed her finger prints on it through the phenolphthalein test.
