Kashyap’s kirtans enthrall audience
The ‘Sangeeta Sabha’ conducted by K Raghavendra Kashyap of Hyderabad at Sripada Srivallabha Mahasamsthanam to mark the second day of the Sripada Jayanti on Monday received wide appreciation of the audience. He rendered ‘kirtans’ of Annamacharya and Bhakta Ramadasu, beginning with ‘Vathapi Ganapathim’ in Hamsadhwaniragam.
Pithapuram: The ‘Sangeeta Sabha’ conducted by K Raghavendra Kashyap of Hyderabad at Sripada Srivallabha Mahasamsthanam to mark the second day of the Sripada Jayanti on Monday received wide appreciation of the audience.
He rendered ‘kirtans’ of Annamacharya and Bhakta Ramadasu, beginning with ‘Vathapi Ganapathim’ in Hamsadhwaniragam. His other renderings ‘Seetamma Hayamma’(VasanthaRagam), ‘Amba Bhavani’ (Shanmukapriya), ‘Paluke Bangaramaye’, ‘Kadiri Narasimhudu (Ananda Bhairavi) and ‘Anabettithinani’ (KanbhojaRagam) were well received.
Kashyap continued with ‘RamasriKirtana’ (Ragamallika), ‘Palayamma’(Sindhu Bhairavi). He was praised for ‘Srimannarayana’, ‘Pahi Pahi Sridatta’, ‘Bhajagovindam’ and ‘InukulaTilaka’ kirtans, that too at a young age.
Temple Committee representatives Reddem Babulu, Thota Edukondalu, among others, felicitated Kashyap, honouring him with a shawl.Earlier, special ‘abhishekam’ was performed for Sripada Srivallabha. A large number of devotees participated in ‘Pallaki Seva’.
