Shanti Ashramam launches free mid-day meal scheme for students
The Santhi Ashramam Trust has launched yet another free mid-day meals programme at Government Junior College in Gudur Town in the district on Monday. Trust founder, Himalaya Swamy Ji, Telugu Desam Party MPP, Raja Vardhan Reddy and Trust organiser, Somi Shetty Raghu Ramaiah presided over the programme.
Kurnool : The Santhi Ashramam Trust has launched yet another free mid-day meals programme at Government Junior College in Gudur Town in the district on Monday. Trust founder, Himalaya Swamy Ji, Telugu Desam Party MPP, Raja Vardhan Reddy and Trust organiser, Somi Shetty Raghu Ramaiah presided over the programme.
MPP, Raja Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, addressing the gathering on the occasion, said that the students of Government Junior College are lucky enough to have the facility of the mid-day meals. He thanked the Santhi Ashramam Trust founder, Himalaya Swamy Ji, for the initiative.
He advised the students to achieve the highest goals in life by pursuing good education. The free mid-day meals programme would benefit 350 students across Gudur town, he said. The Trust founder, Himalaya Swamy Ji said it is giving him utmost satisfaction to serve the people.
It is our little effort to introduce free mid- day meals programme at this stage and will introduce the scheme at all government colleges across the district at later stages, he added.
He suggested the students to utilise the services being rendered by the trust and pursue good education. He advised the students to adopt service motto. One should have a kind heart to serve the people who are in need.
Santhi Ashramam Trust organiser, Somi Shetty Venkataramaiah, Pratap Reddy, Harish, Nageshwar Babu and others were present on the occasion.
