Fervour marks Kaisika Dwadasi

The TTD celebrated the Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam inside Srivari temple in a grand manner in the early hours of Wednesday. As part of the festival, the Ugra Narasimha idol flanked by consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi was taken out in a procession in the wee hours.

After entering the Srivari temple, the utsava idols were performed Asthanam by the temple priests with recitation of Purana pathanam. TTD mathadhipatis Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal said that once in a year the Ugra Narasimha idol is brought out in a procession on the occasion of Kaisika Ekadasi and titled as Prabhodotsavam or Uthana Dwadasi.
