Students from various schools made a beeline to have a glimpse of science projects at  Children’s Science Congress – 2017  on the Andhra University campus here on Tuesday.

Visakhapatnam: Students from various schools made a beeline to have a glimpse of science projects at Children’s Science Congress – 2017 on the Andhra University campus here on Tuesday. The young minds have come up with the projects ranging from plastic recycling, e-Waste, Swachh Bharat, zero net carbon emission and renewable energy.

Of all the experimental models prepared by high school students, ‘Home Automation With Mobile’ project by students of Madhurawada’s AP Social Welfare Residential Centre (APSWRC) stole the show as it was conceived by making use of Internet of Things (IOT).

“Five of us, along with our guide, worked on this project for 15 days. These works are exciting as well as provide food for thought,” said Class X student P Sirisha of from APSWRC.

Another work – Multi-purpose Agricultural Robot - by the students of APSWRC also grabbed the attention of the visitors. “This project helps farmers to plough, water the ground and sow seeds in one go through use of solar energy,” said P Kusuma.

While the students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan put up a stall on a theme ‘Desalination – No longer burns pockets’, SFS School students came up with projects on Digital India and interlinking of rivers. There are other interesting works by students at the science expo which is open to all the students for the next two days.
