Students of Navaneeta Public School (NPS) being run by Krishnapatnam Port met President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday in Delhi. Ninety-two students, who are studying 7th and 8th standards along with school teachers met the President.

Nellore: Students of Navaneeta Public School (NPS) being run by Krishnapatnam Port met President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday in Delhi. Ninety-two students, who are studying 7th and 8th standards along with school teachers met the President.

He appreciated efforts of the CVR Foundation which has been providing education to the poor under CSR activity. He wished the students from downtrodden communities to come up in life with the support of the Port school.

He also urged the corporate institutions to provide free education for the poor as part of CSR activity for making the community self-reliant with education and enlightenment. President interacted with the students and allowed them to visit all parts of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

School teachers and management members have explained to the President that they were arranging tours for the students for understanding various life styles and traditions across the country and as part of that they had previously arranged trips to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and other places.

They also explained that students would be given opportunity to visit the entire subcontinent for complete understanding before completion of their schooling. Port Managing Director Ch Sasidhar, NPS Principal Sujata Varma, and school staff met the President along with the children.
