The marriage function of Gannamani Padmamohan Rao son Jagadish Chandra Raviteja attracted people’s attention in Jagannadhapuram village in Tadepally mandal in West Godavari district. Bridegroom wore colourful saree and also wore gold ornaments including ear rings, necklace etc. While bride wore traditional Pancha - Dhoti in the marriage function.
The community people claimed they adopted the tradition of Kakatiya dynasty where Rudramadevi always looked in male attire. She also visited temples in male dress. The community was following the same tradition during marriages.
