New Celkon mobile UniQ released
Domestic mobile manufacturing company Celkon’s flagship mobile ‘UniQ’ has been released by District Collector PS Pradyumna in Tirupati on Saturday on the occasion of its 9th anniversary.

The event was held in their factory in SV Electronic Manufacturer Cluster–1 near international airport. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said it was an achievement that the total mobile manufacturing was done at their factory here. The founder of Celkon, Guru has started the company with only four people and reached this stage now with his dedication, commitment and taking steps based on market needs.
The Collector stated that the government was encouraging industrialists in a big way to provide more employment opportunities for the youth. He wished that the workers in the company should think innovatively and should become entrepreneurs though they have studied only up to 10th or intermediate. If they have such ideas, government has several schemes and banks will provide huge loans.
A small step from Celkon company made them to grow as Rs 800 crore firm having a capacity of producing five lakh mobiles per month and providing employment for 2,000 youth. He released the new mobile into the market by signing on it. Celkon CMD Guru said that after many ups and downs they have grown to this stage.
The UniQ mobile was manufactured entirely in Tirupati factory which has 16mp camera, 5-inch screen, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, 4G light technology, softkey technology and other features. Its price will be Rs 8,999. He said, they were planning to export mobiles to 25 countries soon.
