All set for Inter exams
The Regional Inspection Officer (RIO) of the Board of Intermediate Education has completed all arrangements for the smooth conduct of Intermediate exams which are going to begin from February 28. All steps have been taken to ensure that there are no irregularities in any manner, said the RIO M Krishnaiah.

Speaking to The Hans India amidst his hectic schedule, he said a total of 93,982 students have applied for exams in the district out of which 48,608 are junior Inter students and the remaining 45,374 are senior Inter students. For the convenience of the students, 132 examination centres in 48 zones have been set up across the district. All measures have been taken for foolproof conduct of the crucial exams.
The exams will continue for 20 days and conclude on March 19, RIO averred. “Examination will be held from 9 am to 12 noon for which the students have to reach their respective centres by 8.30 am itself and to be seated as per their roll number by 8.45 am.
No student will be allowed to enter the examination centre even if they come late by one minute after 9 am,” the RIO clarified. All examination centres were equipped with all facilities. Instructions have been given to all chief superintendents to hire tables and chairs wherever necessary so that no student should sit on the floor to write examinations.
A total 132 chief superintendents and 132 departmental officers were appointed for each centre to conduct the examinations without hurdles. There will be 24 custodians, 14 sitting squads and four flying squads. Further, three members from district examination committee and one high power committee member will ensure that no malpractices are carried out, Krishnaiah said.
In every examination centre, an ANM from the Health department will be available for emergency medical purpose. In the district, 12 problematic centres were identified, and special focus will be laid on those centres, the RIO revealed.
He added that the District Collector has directed the RTC officials to operate special buses for the benefit of Inter students from 7.30 am and after 12 noon. Examination centres were allotted to students based on jumbling system.
However, in remote areas where transport facilities are difficult, 12 self-centres were allotted. Students should write the examinations in a peaceful atmosphere and should keep the district on top in pass percentage.
