Pawan lost credibility because of double standards: Lokesh
TDP general secretary and minister of IT and panchayat raj Nara Lokesh reacting on Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan’s comments, maintained that there was no need to give explanation to the baseless criticism of Pawan Kalyan.
Amaravati: TDP general secretary and minister of IT and panchayat raj Nara Lokesh reacting on Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan’s comments, maintained that there was no need to give explanation to the baseless criticism of Pawan Kalyan.
The minister was interacting with media on Assembly lobbies on Tuesday. Lokesh observed that there was no need to suspect state government on Polavaram project and maintained that the project was given by central government to the present contractor and there was no involvement of state government. The minister reiterated that his family had been in power before he born and explained that he never resort to any corruption to get power.
Speaking on defamation case against Pawan Kalyan, Lokesh explained that he will fight as per the directions TDP high command. “Where is the need to talk about CBI enquiry on Polavaram project?” questioned Lokesh.
He explained that they did not invite tenders. ``The tenders were invited and works were given by central government. The rehabilitation and resettlement package amounts were being directly deposited in the accounts of the Polavaram Project victims, but not in the accounts of TDP leaders”.
The BJP once blamed the CBI as Congress Bureau of Investigation and now they are using the same for their political benefits, the minister alleged. Nara Lokesh explained that he proved that he was innocent of all corruption allegations made by YSRCP. Now the Jana Sena party president is making allegations without any evidence in support of his criticism.
He said that Pawan Kalyan accused that he had relations with Sekhar Reddy, who had involved in many cases. The Jana Sena party leaders have been circulating a photo of Planning Board member Peddi Rama Rao in which Lokesh was there.
The Jana Sena was projecting Ramarao as Sekhar Reddy which itself explains their ignorance. “Pawan Kalyan accused that I would defame my grandfather NT Rama Rao’s name. I am utterly disappointed with this statement. In fact, I need not to bother about the power because my grandfather was Chief Minister before I was born”, explained Lokesh.
He explained that he would only answer to Pawan Kalyan if he would produce evidence. He observed that Pawan Kalyan did not have any moral right to give ratings to the efficiency and administration of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Since, Chandrababu Naidu was only leader in the state who dedicates all together 20 hours per a day for the development and welfare of public. “I am the only person after Chandrababu Naidu that announcing the properties for the last 8 years.
But, none of them were proved wrong in the public domain. Now Pawan Kalyan is accusing me of corruption. He has to announce his properties before blaming anybody”, observed Lokesh. “Pawan Kalyan has been continuously changing his stand.
He has been changing his words at every meeting and at every interview. He did not have consistency. He lost credibility because of his double standard attitude. He is criticising TDP after joining hands with BJP,” Nara Lokesh added.
