Rajamahendravaram: Rajamahendravaram rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Choudary said TDP would bounce back into power in 2019 Assembly elections as the people trust Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who is striving for the overall development of the state.
Participating in a Meet the Press programme held at press club here on Sunday, Choudary said the TDP government implemented many welfare schemes and the state was developed well on many fronts in the last four years. The Chief Minister is the saviour of the state and also an able administrator, he said.
Stating that many non-resident Indians have idle funds for which they were not getting good interest, the MLA advised the Chief Minister to get those funds from them through government bonds with interest. This will help to the state government to some extent to come out of the financial problems, he opined.
The TDP senior leader described the opposition YSRCP's proposed indefinite hunger strike at Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi for Special Category Status (SCS) as yet another drama. Why YSRCP is targeting the Chief Minister leaving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP government at the Centre who are responsible for all the mess, he questioned. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced crores of rupees assistance to Bihar, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and some eastern states but not giving a single paise to Andhra Pradesh which is facing several problems due to the division of the state. Moreover, he is diverting the industrialists who were coming to Andhra Pradesh to Gujarat, he alleged.
“The Chief Minister waited patiently for four years with a belief that the BJP government will help the state but in vain. Now it is inevitable to agitate against BJP government with a demand to fulfil the promises made in AP Bifurcation Act,” Butchaiah Choudary said.
