Nellore: Former Joint Director of the CBI V V Lakshminarayana said that farmers should remain united through Samakhyas to achieve more benefits from the government. He interacted with farmers at Allur and visited Juvvaladinne village which is the birth place of Potti Sriramulu.

Lakshminarayana went to the agricultural lands in Allur constituency and received grievances from the farmers on Wednesday. He also visited the loco shed at Bitragunta Railway Junction and the CHILD Ashram in North Amuluru.

Lakshminarayana garlanded the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar in Bitragunta. Bitragunta Development Committee appealed to Lakshminarayana to take measures for utilisation of the unused railway lands.

The former IPS officer said that they would discuss with the senior officials for development of Bitragunta loco shed. He explained that the loco shed had earlier provided employment to many families as it was the second largest loco shed in the country.

He also said that there was a need for youth to opt for agriculture related sectors for livelihood. Youth will be able to achieve anything with dedication, he said. ‘I have been reading everyday speeches of Swamy Vivekananda to derive more inspiration. I am also studying issues faced by farmers.

Farmers are being deceived by some middlemen as there is no unity among them,’ said the former Joint Director of CBI. Further, Lakshminarayana visited Kasumuru dargah in Venkatachalam mandal and offered prayers.
