Visakhapatnam: The Gajuwaka police took four Punjabi youth into custody after conducting raids at hotels and lodges in the city on Friday.
The police took them into custody after a bank manager on Wednesday alerted them that four Punjabi persons were found to be suspicious when they entered the bank located at Kapprada in the city.
According ACP Lanka Arjun, the bank manager Mohan Rao had informed the police that the four suspicious persons entered bank with a bag containing small knives.
When the bank manager approached them and enquired about their visit, the four replied that they wanted to open an account. When they gave incoherent answers the manager asked them to leave the bank.
The city police on being alerted by the bank manager, the police took them into custody. The crime police had launched a hunt and nabbed the four Vikramjeet Singh, Santnam Singh, Heera Singh and Daljinder Singh at Gajuwaka when they were trying for accommodation.
The four suspects hailed from Delhi and the other details yet to be known. Further investigation is on.
