Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited observing Swachh Bharat Fortnight
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited- Visakh Refinery is observing Swachh Bharat Fortnight from July 1 to 15. As part of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan, HPCL-Visakh Refinery has been organising various activities to promote awareness on cleanliness and Swachh Bharat in association with the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited- Visakh Refinery is observing Swachh Bharat Fortnight from July 1 to 15. As part of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan, HPCL-Visakh Refinery has been organising various activities to promote awareness on cleanliness and Swachh Bharat in association with the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).
Director-Refineries VS Shenoy flagged off Swachh Rathams on Sunday. He also released pamphlets and door stickers on Swachh Bharat, which would be distributed in all areas in and around Visakhapatnam, to create awareness among the people on cleanliness. Speaking on the occasion, Shenoy emphasised the commitment of HPCL towards Swachh Bharat Mission and the support would be continued to GVMC for the cause.
Addressing the gathering, ASV Ramanan, Executive Director-Visakh Refinery, explained the activities taken up by HPCL-Visakh Refinery during the Swachh Bharat fortnight, including street plays, puppet shows, Swachh Rathas, distribution of pamphlets. Kiosks were opened at King George Hospital, Government Hospital for Women and Children and GVMC Hospital, Sriharipuram, for creating awareness among the people.
Chief medical officer of GVMC Dr Prasanth applauded the initiatives taken up by HPCL-Visakh Refinery to create awareness among the people on Swachh Bharat and informed that the GVMC would continue their support for the same. Inspector of Police of Malkapuram Kesava Rao appreciated the initiatives taken up by the HPCL for creating awareness among the people on Swachh Bharat.
Senior Officials of Visakh Refinery B Balagangadharam CGM-Technical, V Ratan Raj, CGM-Operations, P Veerabhadra Rao, CGM-Maintenance, Y Sriramulu, CGM-Technical Projects, G.Rama, CGM-Materials, Narisetty Rajarao, GM-HR, R Ramakrishnan, GM-VRMP commissioning, BN Rao, DGM-HR, and representatives of unions and associations were present.
