Vijayawada: Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced the Advanced Supplementary Examination results of SSC at the Secretariat on Friday. The Minister also stated that within 10 days, the DSC notification will be released to fill 10,351 posts.

The Minister announced the Advanced Supplementary results at a media conference and gave the details. About 52.42 per cent candidates passed the examinations. Out of 35,147 candidates who appeared for the supplementary examination, 18,424 candidates passed the exams.

Ganta said that when compared to the previous year, the result has gone down by 18 per cent. He said Prakasam district achieved first place and West Godavari stood in the last position. Out of 18,448 boys who attended the examination, 9,679 passed. While 8,745 girls passed the exam.

Later, the Minister said that the DSC notification will be announced within 10 days to fill 10,351 posts. Through special DSC notification, social welfare and tribal welfare posts will be filled.

He said that the notification was earlier scheduled to be released on July 6 but due to technical issues it has been postponed. He said that as the tender quotation was high there has been delay in the infrastructure development in schools.

He said that the State improved its rank in school education sector from 17th position to 3rd position after he took charge as HRD Minister. School education commissioner K Sandhya Rani and others were present.
