Vizianagaram: Collector Hari Jawaharlal called upon the students to be good citizens. He advised them to keep away from bad habits and behave like police in civil dress. He took part in ‘student police cadet’ programme organised at the Parade Ground here on Friday.
“I and Superintendent of Police Palaraju and other officers had studied in government schools and climbed success ladder. I conducted a programme with students at my camp office and they came to know how a District Collector lives and they are inspired and promised me that they would work hard to reach higher positions”.
Palaraju said that the police department identified 43 government schools and adopted those students and helped them to get good marks in SSC exams. “We supplied books and other study material and we are happy as they got good marks”. he said.
Later, they distributed LED televisions, projectors, computers to 10 schools. OSD Vikranth Patil, DEO S Nagamani, principal of Police Training School Raja Sikhamani and others were present.
