Kadapa: Kamlapuram former MLA G Veera Siva Reddy warned BJP leaders of serious consequences if they failed to stop false propaganda against recent indefinite fast by Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh for plant in Kadapa.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Veera Siva Reddy said it was not correct for local BJP leaders criticise Ramesh instead of extending support to his agitation as natives of Kadapa district.
The former MLA alleged that district BJP leaders had begun malicious campaign against Ramesh’s fast unable to digest the embarrassing situation faced by their party state chief recently when only a handful of people turned to greet him during his tour in the districts as well as BJP’s failure on steel plant issue.
Stating that BJP-led NDA government had violated the provisions of AP Reorganisation Act with regard to steel plant, he said people of Kadapa district were waiting for an opportunity to teach a lesson to BJP and YSR Congress in the ensuing elections. Several TDP leaders were also present at the press conference.
