Visakhapatnam: In a move to extend cooperation in observation of Swachh Bharat-Swachh Rail, HPCL-Visakh Refinery came forward to provide Swachhta implements at Visakhapatnam railway station under Swachh Bharat through Corporate Social Responsibility funds.
Accordingly, Swachhta implements like pet bottle crusher, bio-waste recycler green bins and steel dustbins with wheels were commissioned on Sunday at Visakhapatnam Railway Station by Director-Finance of HPCL J Ramaswamy in the presence of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of Waltair Division K Dhanunjeya Rao, Executive Directors of HPCL and other dignitaries from HPCL and Waltair Division.
The HPCL-Visakh Refinery offered Rs 22 lakh for Swachhta implements at the Visakhapatnam railway station. The HPCL will also fund Rs 49.5 lakh for the construction of a modern toilet block - refreshing lounge which will have modern facilities like recliners and shower baths apart from toilets. In this connection, the project execution plan was handed over by Director-Finance of HPCL to ADRM of Waltair.
