Vizianagaram: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju on Wednesday accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of diverting public minds with his extraordinary talent.
Addressing the party cadre in Vizianagaram town, he said Naidu had earlier agreed to take special package and even passed a resolution in the Assembly but later he changed his stand demanding for Special Category Status and for this, he managed the media by diverting public minds.
“The TDP leaders are questioning that Central government has done nothing to AP. But, they should know that the BJP gave lakhs of houses and released huge money for Polavaram project too. Though TDP is planning to damage our party, we are confident and ready to contest from all 175 constituencies in AP and give a tough fight to TDP.”
He alleged the TDP leaders had looted thousands of crores in Neeru-Meeru programme and said the TDP could not reopen any one of the closed firm in the state. However, we will adopt the backward north Andhra and take steps to reopen the jute, ferro alloy mills which were closed in the district, he pointed out. Stating that the Union government had sanctioned tribal university, defence project along with the expansion of national highway, he criticised Naidu for deploying Chalasani Srinivas to sling mud on the BJP.
“But one thing is sure, We, the BJP is Pandavas in AP and rest of all parties are Kouravas. We will definitely will in Kurukshetra war. Though we are supporting the state in all aspects, the TDP is obstructing the development. We are ready to develop, Bhogapuram airport but TDP is not cooperating us.
Every programme is involved with high corruption in AP. Even the TDP leaders are collecting Rs 2,000 for getting toilet and more for getting housing scheme. The BJP is working for society and the Congress, TDP and others are working for their political benefit” he alleged.
BJP district president Dr P Jaganmohan Rao also participated in the programme.
