Kurnool: A woman staged a protest with her two children in front of II Town police station in Adoni on Wednesday, seeking action against her husband.
According to police, Kalavathi, a resident of Kurnool, had married a government teacher Mallikarjuna in 2010. Unable to bear harassment for additional dowry, Kalavathi registered a police complaint against Mallikarjuna in 2016.
Angered over filing case against him, Mallikarjuna stopped coming home and stayed away from her. Taking advantage of separation, Mallikarjuna had married another woman and staying with her in Adoni. On knowing about second marriage, Kalavathi approached the police station seeking justice.
Circle Inspector M Vasu said that they would take action against Mallikarjuna after verifying facts. Kalavathi is working as a teacher in a private school.
