As many as six players belonging to Andhra Cricket Association were selected in different teams announced by the Board of Cricket Control in India BCCI on Tuesday

Vijayawada: As many as six players belonging to Andhra Cricket Association were selected in different teams announced by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) on Tuesday.

The selected players will play against the visiting South Africa and Australia teams. The matches will be held at DR Gokaraju Laila Gangaraju ACA cricket complex, Mulapadu and Dr YSR ACA VDCA cricket stadium, Visakhapatnam during August – September, according to ACA secretary Ch Arun Kumar.

He informed that a quadrangular series of 14 one-day international matches will be played at Mulapadu stadium. He said that Andhra Ranji captain G Hanuma Vihari finds place in India-A team while Ricky Bhui is in India-B team and G Hanuma Vihari and K S Bharat are selected for both the test matches, he added.

The BCCI has announced India Blue, India Red and India Green teams for participation in Duleep Trophy Tournament to be played at Natham (Tamil Nadu).

Arun Kumar informed that KS Bharat and B Ayyappa were selected for India Blue team while Y Pruthvi Raj was selected for India Red team and Karn Sarma was selected for India Green team. The tournament will be played from August 17 to September 8.

ACA president GVK Ganga Raju and secretary Ch Arun Kumar congratulated the selected players.
