Kakinada: As part of the call given at state-level, more than 2,000 students and youth formed human chain here on Wednesday, demanding that the Centre accord Special Category Status to AP without delay.
At the programme organized at TTD and Bali Cheruvu Junction here, the participants raised slogans in favour of SCS to AP.
Representatives from Jana Sena, CPI, All India Student Federation, Student Federation of India, All India Youth Federation and other organizations participated.
Speaking on the occasion, CPI East Godavari unit secretary T Madhu said that formation of human chain and rally were organised as part of state-level protest with one crore participants.
