Kakinada: Senior BJP leader Tummala Padmaja Lakshmi has been appointed as ‘AP official spokesperson’ of the party.
A communication to this effect was received on Wednesday from AP BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana.
For the last five years, Padmaja served as the party AP Mahila Morcha EC member.
On the occasion of assuming the new assignment on Wednesday, Padmaja Lakshmi said that she will serve the party to strengthen the party and prepare it to contest all the 175 Assembly seats in 2019 polls.
Padmaja who took charge of new assignment on Wednesday thanked party senior leaders Somu Veerraju, Y Malakondayya and others for extending their support in getting the new assignment.
