Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna has said that beautification works of Kambala Tank will be completed in September and they will be dedicated to the people in October.
He along with the officials inspected the progress of beautification works.
Later, he said that instead of cement railing, steel railing will be arranged around the park with an estimated cost of Rs 48 lakh.
The Commissioner had released an amount of Rs 24 lakh. Open air auditorium and children's play park would also be coming up as part of beautification of the park.
The existing Vinayaka temple would be shifted to some other place in the tank premises for which the corporation sanctioned an amount of Rs 3 lakh. Beautification works were being conducted with quality.
Kambala Tank will become a major entertainment centre to the people in the city, he added.
Corporation executive engineer Satya Kumari, TDP leaders Kasi Naveen Kumar, Reddy Mani and others were present.
