Hyderabad: The low pressure area over central parts of UP now lies over west UP and its neighbourhood. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above the mean sea level.

The cyclonic circulation over Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal now lies over northern parts of WB. Under its influence a low pressure area is likely to form during next 2 to 3 days. Another cyclonic circulation at 7.6 km above mean sea level lies over southwest Bay of Bengal off north TN-south Andhra coasts.

The low pressure area is likely to yield light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few/isolated places in the State from July 28 to 31. No large change during the period August 1-3 is the weather outlook.

Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, the Southwest Monsoon continued to be weak in Andhra Pradesh. Rain occurred at isolated places in Srikakulam, East Godavari, Krishna and Chittoor districts. There was 1 cm of rain each in Ichchapuram (Srikakulam), Vararamachandrapuram, Kunavaram (both in EG), Avanigada (Krishna) and Palasamudram (Chittoor).

Jangamaheswarapuram recorded the highest day temperature of 40 degrees in the State. The other temperatures were: Bapatla, Nellore, Tirupati 39 each, Kavali, Ongole 38 each, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada 37 each, Kakinada, Nandigama, Narsapur, Tuni, Kadapa 35 each, Visakhapatnam Airport, Kurnool, Nandyal 34 each, Kalingapatnam, Arogyavaram 33 each, Visakhapatnam and Anantapur 32 each.
