DRM inspects various works at Gudur railway station
Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager DRM R Dhananjayulu visited Gudur railway station on Saturday and inspected ongoing works
Nellore: Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) R Dhananjayulu visited Gudur railway station on Saturday and inspected ongoing works.
He said they were constructing a foot overbridge at a cost of Rs 2.2 crore and also platforms with Rs 18 crore in the station for convenience of the passengers.
He visited railway hospital and interacted with the medical officers. He also visited south cabin, new booking counters on the western side of the station.
Interacting with the media, the DRM said they were taking measures to clear encroachments for taking up works. The junction has significance with huge number of passengers.
Hence, they had considered construction of foot overbridge, expansion of platforms and other works. He said the works are expected to be completed by March 2019. Senior officials from various wings were also present.
