Rajamahendravaram: YSRCP seems to be in for some setback in East Godavari district. The buzz is that former MLC and popular Kapu leader Kandula Durgesh is all set to ditch the YSRCP for Jana Sena of Pawan Kalyan. In what is being seen as a reaction to YS Jagan’s comments on Kapu reservations, Kapu leaders in the party are leaving the party in drones.
Many Kapu leaders did not like YS Jagan’s comments on Pawan Kalyan’s marriages and Kapu Reservations. The Kapu leaders are finding their stay in the party untenable. Even Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham too has made some strong comments against YS Jagan.
Durgesh is presently greater Rajamahendravaram coordinator of the party. He is also said to be upset at YS Jagan announcing that Akula Veerraju, who contested the last elections on party ticket, would be fielded again. With no apparent chances of getting a party ticket, Durgesh is now planning to join the Jana Sena.
