Srikakulam: The state government is deliberately concealing dengue deaths and trying it project them as normal deaths, alleged YSRCP Srikakulam parliamentary segment in-charge Duvvada Srinivas and party senior leader Piriya Sai Raj.
Submitting a memorandum to the district collector, K Dhanunjaya Reddy on dengue deaths during grievances cell here on Monday, they demanded transparency in dengue deaths. They came down on medical officers statements that there were no dengue deaths in the district.
With state government directions, they said the health officials were concealing the facts. Stating the facilities at government hospitals were poor, they said as a result private hospitals were exploiting patients. They demanded for installation of single donor platelets infusing machine at RIMS hospital to serve better to dengue patients.
