Kadapa: To encourage farmers for adopting drip and micro irrigation farming due to severe dry spell conditions in the district, Andhra Pradesh Micro Irrigation Project (APMIP) Director Madhusudana Reddy flagged off a publicity vehicle in the presence of District Collector Ch Harikiran at the Collectorate on Monday.

On the directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the APMIP would bring awareness among farmers to adopt drip and micro irrigation farming, said the Collector.

He further said that farmers have enrolled their names for taking up drip and irrigation farming in 26,000 hectares as against the target of 30,000 for the year 2018-19. The campaign would conclude on September 15.
