Vijayawada: The America Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) will organise a three-day convention to mark the 10th anniversary celebrations of APTA at Baltimore, Maryland Washington DC, from August 31 to September 2. APTA was formed in 2008 to unite all the Telugu speaking people settled at various parts of the US and across the world to bring them under one roof as a family.

Every year people from across the world will come to the US and take part in the grand event and celebrate the occasion. People from both the Telugu-speaking states will participate. Politicians, businessmen, entrepreneurs, movie artistes, celebrities and prominent people from various walks of life would take part in the convention, according to APTA Board chair N Radhika.

APTA president G Gopal said that they would recall all the services rendered by APTA in the last decade and discuss the plan of action to be taken for the next year at the three-day convention. The members of the convention APTA vice-president U Madhu, 2018 convention convener A Dheeraj, co-convener Ch Srinivas, I Nataraj, P Reddiah, S Srinivas, B Lalitha, APTA founder S Prasad, Ch Srinivas and convention members were striving to make the event a grand success.
