Painting competition on eye donation held
As many as 250 students from various schools and colleges participated in the painting competition organised by Swetcha Gora Eye Bank at the Vasavya Mahila Mandali premises as a part of the fortnight awareness programme here on Thursday
Vijayawada: As many as 250 students from various schools and colleges participated in the painting competition organised by Swetcha Gora Eye Bank at the Vasavya Mahila Mandali premises as a part of the fortnight awareness programme here on Thursday.
The painting competition was held at 2 pm and the topic given for the school and college students was ‘Nature is Beautiful’. The students participated in the competition with enthusiasm. On August 31 at 3 pm, singing competition will be organised and on September 1 at 2.30 pm, quiz competition will be organised.
On September 4 at 2 pm, slogans competition will be organised and on September 6, free eye screening camp will be organised for the visually challenged on the VMM premises and operation will be done free of cost for the needy. Prizes for the winners of various competitions will be given on September 8, said Swetcha Gora Eye Bank executive director Dr Samaram.
