Tug Krittika delivered to Deendayal Port Trust

Visakhapatnam: The Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has successfully delivered Krittika, a tug, built for Deendayal Port Trust here on Friday. Krittika is the 181st vessel built by the HSL and second delivered vessel in the present fiscal.
The tug has been designed and built by HSL and is capable of developing a 50 tonne Bollard Pull and can achieve speed of 12 knots. The tug is equipped with state-of-the-art external firefighting equipment.
During trials, she has proved her ability to face rough seas. The tug will be sailing to Gandhidham to join Deendayal Port Trust covering a distance 2,200 nautical miles on her maiden voyage.
While delivering the vessel Chairman and Managing Director of HSL Rear Admiral LV Sarat Babu congratulated the officers, staff, workmen and all partners of HSL for their concerted efforts in enabling completion of the vessel.
