Ongole: The state government employees working in the Prakasam district should take their insurance bonds without fail, announced the assistant director of the Andhra Pradesh Government Life Insurance department.

KSV Prasad, the AD of APGLI in Ongole said that the government employees should not neglect to submit proposal form and take the bonds every time they enhance the premium.

He said that all employees should receive all of the insurance bonds by the time they attain 55 years of age and failing which they have a risk of losing risk coverage and bonus on the bonds.

He advised them to check their annual premium slips downloaded from the website www.apgli.ap.gov.in and contact the APGLI district office for any corrections required.

He said that the APGLI is paying nearly 10 percent of bonus to the insurers which is also exceptional from paying income tax and advised the state government employees to utilise the service and be compliant with the guidelines from time to time.

The office superintendant, S Prasannanjaneyulu said that in all the 27,000 state employees, more than 2,000 employees are pending to receive the bonds yet.

He informed the employees that they are sending nonpayment of interest notices to the employees who took loans before August 2015 and failed to pay the interest in time.

The AD and superintendent asked the employees to clear the dues and receive best returns on their savings in the APGLI schemes.
