Kurnool: The robbers made vain bid to rob SBI ATM at MM Road in Adoni on Sunday. According to reports, a gang of robbers entered the ATM after breaking the rooftop and made vain bid to break the ATM machine.
As their attempts proved futile, they fled the scene. This incident came to limelight when SBI branch manager Prasad Reddy along with his staff visited the ATM and informed to the cops. Prasad Reddy said the ATM was filled with Rs 29 lakh and the amount was safe.
On receipt of information, Adoni DSP Ankaveedu Prasad accompanied with his staff visited the spot and inspected the scene of offence. Speaking to media, the DSP said that in the recent past several thefts have been noted. He said the robbers would be apprehended after inspecting the CCTV footage. Based on bank manager’s complaint, police have registered a case.
