Agrigold victims demand speedy justice
The members from the Prakasam district unit of Agrigold Customers and Agents Welfare Association staged a protest in front of the district Collectorate here on Monday and demanded that the government deliver speedy justice to each and every victim
Ongole: The members from the Prakasam district unit of Agrigold Customers and Agents Welfare Association staged a protest in front of the district Collectorate here on Monday and demanded that the government deliver speedy justice to each and every victim.
They announced that they will vote to the party which works on their side and asked the government to reveal the reason behind its failure to takeover assets of Agrigold and distribute deposits to the victims. The victims said that the Agrigold chairman, Avva Venkata Ramarao cheated 32 lakh families and was the reason for the death of hundreds of members. They demanded that the government hang such ‘financial terrorists’ in public as a warning to others.
They welcomed the High Court’s announcement to listen to Agrigold case every Friday and let the assets of Agrigold to be auctioned in each district separately.
They asked the chief minister to keep his word to do speedy justice to the victims or resign to his job immediately. They demanded that the government purchase the assets of the Agrigold and distribute the money to the depositors immediately.
