Amaravati: The TDP MPs will meet Union Cabinet ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of India Ram Nath Kovind and other important leaders in the central government and demand them to implement promises made under AP Reorganisation Act. The MPs will meet the Union ministers in the next week. Before that they will participate in a meeting with the State government and ministers in Amaravati.
TDP MP Sujana Chowdary said that the party president N Chandrababu Naidu directed them to increase pressure on central government to ensure implementation of the promises made under AP Reorganisation Act and other poll promises given by the BJP during last general elections. After participating in the TDP Parliamentary Party meetingorganized by party president N Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP MP Sujana Chowdary, along with other MPs including Galla Jayadev, KinjarapuRammohan Naidu, MagantiBabu, Murali Mohan, Malyadri Sriram and others held a press conference at Undavalli in Guntur on Saturday.
Chowdary said that the protest will be intensified at national level. Chandrababu Naidu has decided to unite all the likeminded parties across the country against BJP, he said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shahbetrayed AP and are indulging in collusive politics against the state, he said. He said that the TDP, through Dharma PorataSabhas, was explaining to people on the injustice done to AP by the Centre. The central government has failed in all its schemes including demonetisation, GST implementation and others.
The Union government has been creating hurdles for the progress of AP and threatening TDP leaders through I-T raids, observed Rammohan Naidu. The Central government threatened leaders in UP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and now in AP, added Rammohan Naidu. He added that regional parties are being suppressed by the BJP. “We have to create an alternative to the BJP. NTR found United Front and it led the country. Now the TDP will also form such an alliance. Rupee value has been steadily decreasing, petrol, diesel prices are raising steeply,’’ GallaJayadev said.
Election campaign in five states
The possibility of campaign by the TDP in all the five states where elections are being organised, is under consideration, explained Rammohan Naidu. Sujana Chowdary said that the party will take appropriate decision on the campaign in five states soon. He said that West Bengal CM Mamata Benerjee invited Chandrababu Naidu to participate in a public protest meeting in January. The TDP will also organise two national conclaves, he stated.
“Manipulative democratic process is being implemented by the Central government against the regional parties. They are threatening the leaders in election going states by misusing I-T, ED and CBI”, the MPs pointed out.
