Srikakulam: Protection and conservation of wildlife and biodiversity is essential for existence of human beings, said Srikakulam range forest officials and staff.
They observed Wildlife Week at Srikakulam on Saturday and conducted awareness programmes at government school.
They took out a rally in the city by displaying placards and raising slogans explaining the importance of wildlife protection to maintain ecological balance.
On the occasion, the forest officials presented participation certificates and merit awards to students who took part in the event.
Forest officials P Gopal Naidu, D Gowreesh, B VenkatRao, I Hari Babu, TV Ramana Murthy, forest beat officials and school teachers attended the programme.
