World Sight Day observed

Vijayawada: To mark 'World Sight Day', Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM), Apollo Tyres Health Care and Sky Health Foundation jointly organised free eye check-up camp at Autonagar here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the camp, VMM secretary G Rashmi said VMM in association with Apollo Tyres Health Care has been serving the Autonagar workers for the last seven years. They would organise the camp for a week at various places in Autonagar, she said.
Autonagar Industrial Local Authority (AILA) chairman Sunkara Durgaprasad appreciated VMM, Apollo Tyres and Sky Health Foundation for serving the Autonagar workers. He said they were giving medicines to the workers free for patients suffering from hypertension and diabetes.
Apollo Tyres representative Anthony said that the workers, who have obtained health cards from them, can get health check-up at 28 various centres across the country. Lorry drivers, cleaners, mechanics and others visited the free camp in large numbers.
