A couple of days before collectors conference, the state government transferred five Indian Administrative Service officials with immediate effect on Tuesday

Amaravati: A couple of days before collectors’ conference, the state government transferred five Indian Administrative Service officials with immediate effect on Tuesday.

The transferred officials include 2006 batch IAS officer M V Seshagiri Babu, who is on waiting for post and is now posted as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director for Sports Authority of AP (SAAP), Vijayawada.

A 2012 batch IAS officer, serving as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Prasanna Venkatesh is transferred and posted as Director for Disaster Management. Another officer of same batch, T. Veerabrahmaiah, who has been in waiting, is appointed as deputy secretary for Social Welfare department.

Kritika Batra, 2013 cadre IAS officer, is posted as deputy CEO of AP Skill Development Corporation. She was waiting for the post. PS Ravi Subhash, another officer of 2013 batch, working as CEO of Dr NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, Guntur is transferred and posted as Joint Collector and Additional Magistrate at Kurnool district.

Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha said that all these transfers and appointments will come into force with effect from Tuesday itself and directed the all officials to report at their respective posts. He released a Government Order RT Number 2266.

The state government is contemplating to transfer more IAS and IPS officials. Within next three months, the Election Commission will make necessary arrangements and will transfer the officials. Before that, the state government has been transferring both IAS and IPS officials.

In fact, the state government also transferred IPS officials on Tuesday along with these IAS officials.
