Vijayawada: To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) Roots Health Foundation (RHF) along with NATA (North American Telugu Association) has taken initiative to create awareness on breast cancer among women, said RHF chairman Dr Anne Sivanageswara Rao on Friday.

The chief guests of the programme would be Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao, DGP RP Thakur, the MLAs, the VMC Commissioner and others.

He said that a painting competition would be held for about 300 women to portray paintings pertaining to breast cancer messages.

He said that on October 28 a new Telugu Book of Records will be created with all the paintings at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium with 1800 feet paintings.

He said that interested participants should register their names by October 27 evening by calling 8886758758, 7013129278 to participate in the competition.

The participants should bring one meter canvas drawing cloth for drawing along with paints and brush. All the participants will be given participation certificates.
