RMC ready to give tap connections
Municipal Corporation executive engineer Panduranga Rao has said the corporation is supplying quality drinking water to the people without any interruption
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation executive engineer Panduranga Rao has said the corporation is supplying quality drinking water to the people without any interruption.
Reviewing the water supply position with deputy executive engineers, assistant engineers, fitters and tap inspectors in the corporation office here on Sunday, he said in future public taps would be removed as the corporation was giving domestic tap connections.
He asked the engineers to speed up the work and give tap connections to every house by December. The corporation was very much particular in this regard and any delay in this regard would not be spared, he warned.
He also directed the engineers to check the water supply pipelines frequently and arrest any leakage and replace the pipelines to avoid inconvenience to the people.
He appealed to the people not to waste the water and asked them to close the tap after their use.
The corporation was spending lakhs of rupees on drinking water and advised the people to contact corporation office to get domestic connection which can be sanctioned immediately.
