Srikakulam: TDP leaders including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and the Ministers are earning crores of rupees by handing over government lands to private persons, alleged BJP leaders.
Launching Bhoo Rakshana Deeksha (Agitation for protection of government lands) here on Saturday, BJP leaders P Venugopalam, P Tirupathi Rao, Ch Venkateswara Rao, Dr K Viswanadham and D Ravindrababu alleged that the TDP government acquired lands at cheaper price from farmers in the name of projects and for capital city Amaravati and handing over them to private parties.
The government lands are also handed over to corporate people who are favourable to TDP, they alleged. They demanded the government to handover these lands to landless poor in the State.
They also warned the government that they would launch legal battle against the State government on its illegal and excess land acquisition.
