Vijayawada: Regional Joint Director of school education D Devananda Reddy gave scholarship to poor talented students at a programme organised by Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU) Sevadal State convener D Srinu at Patamata Boys High School here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the RJD said that all the students should set a goal in life and to achieve the goal and should strive hard in a systematic way without stepping back when they face hurdles on their way. He advised the students to study library books apart from their academic books.
By reading more books, they would gain more knowledge, he said and added that the youth were the asset of the nation. The JD appreciated PRTU Sevadal for organising the programme. PRTU State convener D Sinu expressed his happiness for organising the programme. School Headmaster M Vijayalakshmi, PRTU district general secretary GVL Perumallu, A Satyanarayana, TV Nageswara Rao, I Venkat Reedy and others were present.
