Rural MLA stages stir for RTC service
Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy demanded that the RTC officials should run bus service to South Mopuru, Golla Kandukuru, Vellanti and some other villages in the limits of the Nellore Rural constituency
Nellore: Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy demanded that the RTC officials should run bus service to South Mopuru, Golla Kandukuru, Vellanti and some other villages in the limits of the Nellore Rural constituency. He along with students staged a protest in front of Regional Manager’s office at RTC bus complex here on Monday.
Speaking to the media, YSRCP MLA said that students of South Mopuru and other villages were facing inconvenience to reach their houses. Even after several requests, the RTC officials had failed to respond on the issue,’ said Sridhar Reddy. Further, RTC RM has assured MLA Sridhar Reddy that they would resolve the issue within two days. The MLA warned that he would launch an agitation if RTC authorities fail to provide bus service to the villages.
Further, Sridhar Reddy demanded District Collector R Mutyala Raju to cancel tenders invited for taking up works of Necklace road located between Bara Shaheed Dargah and Irukalala Parameswari temple and invite fresh tenders giving no scope for misuse of public funds. The MLA wrote a letter to the Collector and explained that they would welcome construction of Necklace road but don’t spare misuse of public funds.
