Amaravati: A day after results of Assembly elections to Telangana and four States were announced, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu interacted with the important leaders of the TDP over a teleconference on Wednesday.

He said the results of Assembly elections reflected the mood of people of the country. Naidu said the verdict of the polls showed that the people were totally against the anti-people’s policies being adopted by the Narendra Modi government.

Naidu pointed out that the BJP failed to retain power in three North Indian States and fared poorly in two other States. Stressing the need for ending the BJP rule at the Centre, the TDP national president exuded confidence that the people of the nation would extend full support to the alliance of the Opposition parties.

“The TDP will continue efforts to unite all anti-BJP forces. It will be possible to unite all the anti BJP parties in the country. I have received good response from leaders during my visit to different places in the country,” Naidu told party leaders.

Naidu further explained that the Congress promised to give Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh and fulfill all other promises made under the AP Reorganisation Act. Whereas the BJP betrayed AP and rejected the proposal altogether, hence the TDP announced BJP as its rival, he informed.

The Chief Minister pointed out that the Congress promised to do justice to the State, hence the TDP entered into an alliance with the party at the national level.

Naidu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been harassing the TDP leaders ever since his party had severed ties with the BJP and started criticising it’s policies. The raids by officials of the Enforcement Directorate, Income Tax department and others on party leaders provided clear examples, he said.

As the TDP has been playing a key role in the country in forming alternative alliance, the Prime Minister was targeting the leaders in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu opined.

He cautioned that the party leaders must be vigilant on the developments at the national level and be ready to face any type of threat from the BJP and Narendra Modi. KCR’s Third Front only to benefit BJP: Meanwhile, reacting on TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao’s proposal to form third front, Chandrababu Naidu said that it was only intended for the benefit of the BJP and Narendra Modi.

He explained that there would be no use in forming a third front with two or three regional political parties in the country against the BJP and Congress. Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that he had invited KCR for the anti-BJP alliance, but in vain.
