New Delhi: YSRCP MP V Vijaysai Reddy, here on Thursday, submitted a memorandum to the Chief Election Commissioner bringing to his notice the lapses in the electoral rolls published by the AP Election Commission on September 1 this year.

Providing specific examples of duplication, multiple entries and demographically similar entries in the rolls, he said that there are 34,17,125 such votes in 175 constituencies having 45,920 polling booths.

In addition, there are 18,50,511 dual votes in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. As such votes could influence the election outcome anytime, he sought the intervention of the CEC to remove such votes from the list and to strengthen democracy.
